Hayate no Gotoku! Ch. 270

Nice house. Seriously.

“Every building and old man has a history.” said the title, so in this chapter we had a small history lecture by Klaus, ABOUT Klaus. Before that, of course, he had to deal with the crossdressed Hayate, and Hayate had to deal with the housing problem…

Disappointingly, Hayate did not even have to put the “‘Ahhn, papa is letting me buy an apartment.’ strategy” into working (Well, this was somehow immoral, if you take things very seriously, so…). And even more disappointingly, we did not see Klaus’ reaction when he knew the identity of the “girl”. Well, in any case, Hayate’s basic need was fulfilled on the second page in this chapter. That’s quite… fast. Considering the fact that Hayate found the best person to get the best house reasonably available FOR FREE, and that he successfully kept the 20 million yen in his pocket safe after so much walking on the street, I think Hayate really has better luck now.

It is so wasteful for this man to be single...

So, with the housing problem settled on the second page, Klaus then began on his history lecture. The young Klaus was of course awesome, but to be fair, the current Klaus was also a fairly good-looking old man, so let’s not laugh too hard about his appearance. Yukariko was adorable, too, to the extent that I somehow think that Hata himself is a lolicon…

It's kinda weird you asked for a gift in love bubbles.

Obviously Klaus did not take Yukariko’s proposal seriously, but then he made a joke and demanded a wedding present from Yukariko, and shockingly Yukariko really gave him one. Klaus, perhaps out of greed, insisted that the house became his, and when he wanted to return the house, he never had the chance. So, Klaus now decided to give the house to Nagi, Yukariko’s daughter. Overall, this story line made sense.

Showing this kind of worry while not giving out help pissed me off...

Nagi now had a house for free, so the 20 million yen could be used to repair the house. Things, which had been absurd for weeks, now became a bit more reasonable. Well, it’s good that we don’t have to waste too much time on finding house. The only remaining problem was the murderous intent from the house. No matter what it was, a small adventure for Hayate would be inevitable.

Anyway, just don’t tear the house down, thank you.
